Delivery Returns & Guarantee

Delivery:

YatesMakes is a one man band company. I may not have all the parts available immediately for your chosen HayDown product.
When I see you have placed an order, I will try to give you an honest estimate of expected delivery time. If you would like to know before placing an order, please get in touch at info@yatesmakes.uk or phone me on 07398253089.
Delivery charges may change to keep in line with the courier charges.
If you are in the UK Highlands or islands please note there will be an additional delivery charge to pay.
If you wish to make other delivery arrangements please get in touch.
Outside of the UK? You will have to pay your country's VAT of the cost of the goods and shipping to the shipping company. There are no customs duties on these goods.

Packaging
Small to Medium Enterprises are being encouraged to reduce their environmental impact by switching to reusable packaging. You can read all about it by copying this into your search engine "smes encouraged to reuse packaging".
  • In April 2024 I switched from recyclable cardboard packaging to strong plastic reusable packaging.
  • The large strong plastic bag your HayDown arrives in is reusable and may have already been used more than once to deliver HayDowns around the UK and maybe beyond. You will be provided with a postage paid smaller bag inside for returning the main bag. You are not charged for this, YatesMakes Ltd is standing this small cost.
  • Please also return the bag folding instructions.
  • Please locally recycle any internal cardboard packaging.
  • The black nylon cable tie tails are recyclable if taken to the right specialist company. Please return those, also in the small bag, as my supplier collects them for recycling. You may only have a handful of them, I handle thousands of them.

Returns:

If you have already sent you packaging back and are unable to find or create something suitable, I will send a reusable bag at no cost to you.
You can return your purchased items to YatesMakes Ltd within 30 days of receiving them for a full refund.

Please email at info@yatesmakes.uk with a copy of your order confirmation email or invoice as proof of purchase. Or call me on 07398253089, I will still need you to email proof of purchase.
For a full refund, the items must be clean, unused and in the same condition as when received. I accept there may be minor surface scratches due to the soft properties of the plastic. If necessary, I will deduct from your refund the cost of any parts not returned, and the loss of resale value of any parts due to damage by you or your chosen return delivery method to YatesMakes. Please try to use the original packaging, no need to rip it open and waste it.
You are responsible for the return packaging and transport costs and any loss or damage incurred. So please pack them well.
When I have received and checked your return, I will inform you and process your refund including the original delivery charge, less any deductions as mentioned.

HayDown Guarantee:

Your HayDown comes with a 2 year guarantee, which covers the replacement of the whole product or necessary parts of. Cable ties are considered a consumable so are not covered by this guarantee.
The guarantee is effective from the date of delivery. All replacements are at YatesMakes Ltd’s discretion. If a part is no longer available, we will replace it with a similar functional part, how long this takes will depend on if it’s a part I make or buy in from a supplier.
You must provide proof of purchase.
The guarantee period does not restart after any replacement or exchange.
The guarantee does not cover damage or loss of parts due to normal wear and tear, accidental damage, use of a HayDown in ways or for purposes it was not designed for, use of replacement parts on a HayDown not approved by YatesMakes Ltd.
